Jay Janson on Occupy Oakland, the Antiwar Movement and Martin Luther King

Historian and activist Jay Janson has been watching Occupy Oakland unfold.

King followers are sure of folks coming to realizing that nothing is stronger than the words and image of Martin Luther King Jr., murdered and thus silenced for saying what we are all becoming aware of. ‘All U.S. wars are created to maintain the unfair predatory overseas investments of Wall Street.’

U.S. clergy’s forty-four years of silence as investor owned mass media buried their fellow pastor Rev Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. sermons will soon come to be embarrassing for pastors whose congregations have supported all the U.S. wars that King condemned once the public at large learns of King’s condemnations of the wars and the investments they were created to serve.
